More than just a place to meet

Leonard Cheshire day services are the perfect place to get out and meet people. And we offer a lot more besides. Whether you want to develop your skills, try out new activities or become more independent, we’d love you to pop in and see what we’re all about.

Lively and welcoming

With a lot going on, Rosyth is great for socialising and there are always people coming and going. There are plenty of activities to get involved in, and our friendly staff will support you to do the things you want to do. The centre is fully accessible and fitted out with aids including hoists and ramps.

What you’ll get out of it

We’ll work with you to develop a support plan. It will include the things you like to do and things you want to achieve with us. We often help the people who use our day service to:

  • Become more independent
  • Keep healthy
  • Learn new skills

The people you’ll meet…

Rosyth is used by a wide range of people, including people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and profound and complex needs. Alongside our fully trained staff you’ll meet our volunteers. They’re here to provide extra support in all sorts of ways, from running activities to just being around for a chat.

…and the things you can do

Because the activities we offer are suggested by the people who use our service, the list of things you can do here is growing all the time. Here are a few of the things you can try:

  • Swimming
  • Ceilidh and discos
  • Shopping
  • Local community groups
  • Arts and crafts
  • Music therapy

Is this the service for you?

The people who come to us are mainly adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or with profound and complex needs.
